Эм... конечно, вырубай его нафиг - с текущей архитектурой ксорга с включенным компизом производительность 3д-приложений (хз только вайновых или нет) жестоко падает.

Надо будет это в 1-й пост вынести. Я на одно время врубал композитный менеджер гнома 2.22, это жесть - ноут грелся при игре в еву как утюг :ninja:

вопрос - а как его вырубить :ninja:) в appearance выбрать no visual effects или как? отрубленный компиз = отрубленные шкурки окон?

Хз, давно его не ставил. И тем более хз как оно в убунте делается.

Вместо компиза нужно запустить метасити (metacity - стандартный гномовский WM). Счас немного погуглю...

В мане сразу нашлось - metacity --replace.
Как сделать, чтобы метасити стал твоим основным менеджером окон - хз... смотри опции на окне логина.

короче то же самое, что просто вырубить эффекты в меню appearance. вырубил. после обеда играть буду, посмотрим, что вышло.

update.
играю с обеда с вырубленым компизом. проблема решилась. 1 окно ест 40%, второе 20%, вместо прежних 45/45. Фпс заметно подскочил. Можно в шапку :ninja:

кстати, у меня баг, когда нажимаешь f10, f11 то вместо карт - мусор..... это нормально, или есть решение?

Нет решения. Эта же штука затрагивает минимапы в описании миссий.

Баг из-за прогрессивной развертки (видел, наверное, что сначала детализация битмап-карты низкая, потом все лучше и лучше - догружается).

wine 1.0 вышел (и фф3). С рц5 изменений кот наплакал (и все косметические), но такой все равно стоит упомянуть :D

Начал я на досуге изучать программирование. И в качестве первого упражнения начал писать скилл монитор под линукс, так как нормальных я не нашёл... Пишу на qt4
Проект в пре-альфа стадии, код ужасен :) но оно работает :) причем собирается и под линукс и под винду (пробовал пока что под XP, свисту в виртуалку ставить неохота). Может быть даже оно заработает под Мак, но у меня не на чем проверить :)
Свой код пока что показывать не хочу, ибо он ужасен, но утилитка будет, ествественно, OPEN SOURCE и под GPL.
правда, если кто-то сильно хочет глянуть на код - пишите, выложу куда-нибудь.
скрин для затравки (интерфейс всё ещё будет допиливаться. сейчас хочу отловить все огрехи, а только потом фичи добавлять)

Не забудь сделать чтобы оно в трей сворачивалось (на скринах не заметил иконки в соотв-щем месте).

Не забудь сделать чтобы оно в трей сворачивалось (на скринах не заметил иконки в соотв-щем месте).

На PyGTK есть EveTimer, но что-то он барахлит последнее время ):

в первом посте:

string "OffScreenRenderingMode" "pbuffer" (для классик-графики);
string "OffScreenRenderingMode" "fbo" (для премиум-графики);


у меня на ubuntu 8.04 amd64 + wine 1.0 (мобильный ATI Radeon x700) классический клиент вообще не запустился с первым вариантом и отлично пошёл со вторым... может имеет смысл исправить

Классический контент в премиум-клиенте (написано именно про него) или классический клиент?

Если первое... Что-то мне подсказывает, что это из-за атишных драйверов. Сейчас посмотрю у себя.

Premium графика.

Ставил по мануалу, пользуя wine-tools.
При попытке запуска ЕВА выдает пустой экран пользовательского соглашения и не реагирует на внешние раздражители.
Консолька ругается таким вот образом:
